Android File Transfer For Mac 10.6 8 Download

A similar but different question from a Mac and S3 user that is fairly illiterate in all this. I use Android file transfer, easytether, and Missing Sync and have had absolutely no issues in setup or being able to do everything I want between the phone and Mac. Clearly, there is something I lucked into between my phone and my Mac. However, from this thread, there is clearly some combination that does not work. My question to you smarties. Is there a common theme of failure that I need to make sure I don't inadvertently create; such as stay at my current mac version (10.6.8). My phone is a business phone; I can not lose this connection due to some silly mistake on my part.

Android/Google is similar in concept to iCloud/iPhone. I think I'm going to finally give Apple the pitch though 'cause Windows 7 is a pretty stable platform and I don't need the headaches.
